Japans keukenmes Saku Hocho Santocu (all purpose) + Tokico messen slijper – 719727

The Kuri Hocho Santoku and the Tokico sharpener make for a powerful combination – especially suited for Japanese knife novices:

  • Saku Hocho, Santoku, all-purpose knife (No. 719720): the sharp cutting edge made of carbon steel is flanked by two layers of stainless steel, which makes it easier to care for; the oval handle is made of chestnut wood and a black ferrule; not rustproof, hardness 60 HRC
  • Tokico (No. 705373): a simply to use knife sharpener which ensure enduring sharpness; moisten the blade and slide it three to five times in both directions through the slit of the sharpener to restore the blade; the Tokico sharpener is suited for single- and double-bevel knives; only damaged or worn out blades should not be sharpened with this sharpening system

These all-purpose blades are exactly right for becoming acquainted with traditional Japanese knives: The sharp cutting edge made of carbon steel is flanked by two layers of stainless steel, which makes it easier to care for. The oval-shaped chestnut wood handle is rounded off by a black ferrule. These knives are available with or without wooden sheath. Hardness 60 HRC, cutting layer not rustproof, double-bevelled.
